When you purchase Wirras Sunglasses you are contributing directly with a donation made through this three projects: Grupo Teukari Alianza con Jicareros, Ojos de la Sierra y Reforestamos Mexico. This groups are non profit organizations. The first one dedicates itself to the preservation and conservation of the traditions and ceremonial centers of the wixaritari (huiholes). The second one has the task of delivering optical lenses to the persons that need them the most up in the wixarika mountain range. The third one regenerates mexican lands through national reforestation.
GRUPO TEUKARI ALIANZA CON JICAREROS
Grupo Teukari Alianza con Jicareros is a non profit organization that dedicates to the preservation and conservation of the traditions and ceremonial centers through donations. It has the intention of integrating the two eagles (the huichol culture and the western culture), and to show more of this millenary indigenous cultureknown as the wixaritari (huicholes).
Purchasing Wirras Sunglasses contributes directly with a donation that helps conserve and preserve one of the oldest native american cultures.
OJOS DE LA SIERRA
Ojos de la Sierra is a social project that has the task of supporting wixaritari craftsmen recover their near sight donating a pair of corrective lenses.
When you purchase a pair of Wirras Sunglasses you´re contributing directly with a donation given to this organization so that a wixarika (huichol) can recover their sight and can keep on with their normal life and work.
REFORESTAMOS MEXICO A.C.
Reforestamos Mexico is a civil association that innovates in favor of the forest landscape to stop deforestation, it increases the forest sustainable use and restores deteriorated land. Through 14 years, they have built a work model that consists in collaborations building better conditions to ensure the forests of the future.
