ABOUT US
The Wirras Sunglasses are the first sunglasses beaded by the wixaritari commonly known as Huicholes. This project was born in the year 2010 with the vision of unifying huichol art with a modern accessory like the sunglasses whether they are used to protect the eyes or as fashion.
We are constantly originating new pieces and designing a variety of sunglasses perfectly elaborated with details both for women and men. This inspiration resulted in the creation of this wonderful collections of small master pieces of art unique in the whole world.
The idea originates of having in your vision the art of the wixaritari culture and supporting them at the same time, integrating two cultures through the intervention in the sunglasses and it´s accessories. This artistic interventions are realized by different huichol artists displaying a unique style to each piece and at the same we support the preservation and customs of this great community.
As persons we always look for beauty in things, through the wixaritari we become aware of the fractal details and the colors that exist in everything. In the awareness of this spirit, the Wirras Sunglasses are born, bringing the huichol art to your vision.
